Great Weekend

We finally got Island Queen out for the weekend. We have been going nuts being at the dock. We left Saturday morning and went to Buttonwood Sound to anchor. It was pretty windy but it was still a good time.  We anchored in beautiful turquoise water, sat on the flybridge and watched a sailboat race going on in the bay. I counted 15 sailboats at one time. The temperature was in the mid 70s and about 15 knots of wind. A perfect day for a sailboat and not a bad day for a trawler. I mad shrimp and pasta for supper. It doesn't get any better than this. We came back on Sunday with the wind at our backs. A beautiful day indeed. Sunday I woke up early and went up to the flybridge and watched the moon set and the sun rise. It was beautiful. I wish I could start every day like this.

On our way

This is where we anchored for the night.

This is the way to sit at anchor.
