Dog Island

We are at Dog Island right now. It is a beautiful place. We took Rosie over to the beach and then went for a long walk. There is an old sailboat laying on its side in the same cove we are anchored in. Always sad to see a boat like that.

When we went into Carrabelle and anchored we saw another small sailboat there. I took Rosie and went over to say hi. It was John, we met at Lighthouse Landing on Kentucky Lake last year. He had stopped there to buy fuel on his way down from Chicago. We had corresponded by email but had lost touch. We were surprised to see each other. He is heading the same direction as us, so we are going to hang together down the coast for awhile.

Hey looks like you made it after what i know was a long day
Just wanted you to know that the boat that you
saw in tyson harbour on dog island wasn't in trouble! Apparently the locals use that place to carene(?sp) their boats for bottom work!!
Also, that boat is a Morgan...34 i think

Rodney, your pic is on file and can be ressurected instantly.

Dan, thats interesting. This boat was not in very good condition at all, but was not past the point of being repairable.

Scott, Turkey and all the trimings.
